WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ who is God and was with God in the beginning and by Him all things were made. Through the Holy Spirit He was born of a virgin being fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, yet because of man’s sin He was crucified, rose from the dead; ascended on high and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will return for His own and reign over His Kingdom forever. (Jn 1:1; Matt 1:18-25; Jn 1:14; 1 Pt 2:22; Lk 24:39; Act 1:9; Dan 7:13-14)

We believe in the Holy Spirit, Who is God and proceeded from

the Father and the Son. He is glorified with the Father and the Son; He convicts the world of sin and through Him every believer is baptized into the body of Christ.

Through Him believers are purified and empowered to be witnesses of Jesus resurrection. We also believe in being filled with the Holy Spirit as distinct from the New Birth. (Matt 3:16-17; Gen 1:2; Rom 8:12-17; Act 1:8; Act 2:1-4)

We believe in one church with one head: the Lord, Jesus Christ.

As our Lord declared, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me,” we conform our doctrine to His and determine not to know anything except,“Jesus Christ and Him crucified.”

(1 Cor 2:2; Jn 7:16; Col 1:18)

We believe water baptism is a physical representation of a spiritual reality where the believer identifies with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We baptize believers in water into the name (or nature of) of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as a sign of being consecrated to God, who is Three in One.

We also practice and hold fast to holy communion in accordance with the truth. (Rom 6:3-4; 1 Pt 3:21-22; Lk 22:14-20;Matt 28:19-20)
